Things Are Looking UP!

To Ellie Love Daddy

Hi Friends,

Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts!  I truly believe they have brought us strength and courage.  Ever since Andrew got out of the hospital a couple of weeks ago he has been quickly getting better!  He is on oxygen, but is slowly using it less and less.  He is writing more on his blog (andrewbheard.com), working on his book for Ellie and getting very excited about his book “A Gray Faith” coming out at the end of this month!  It’s been so nice having a fairly normal life.  I’m so grateful he has been feeling a little better.

Andrew is about to start taking a drug called Tarceva.  He will take it daily and we will only have to go to M.D. Anderson twice a month for check ups!  Apparently this drug has added years to the lives of other cancer patients.  Our doctors are hoping they can prolong Andrew’s life while the new autoimmune trial gets set up and they can work out some of the kinks.

I’ve recently started using my real estate license again as a buyer’s agent.  It’s been a good change of pace to have something to focus on and pour my energy into.  I love helping my family out financially and I’m excited about helping Andrew sell his new book!  Andrew is the big picture thinker in our relationship and since he’s felt like he may have longer to live he has been in nonstop visionary mode.  It’s really hard to keep up.  I’m so blown away by how talented he is and how quickly he can think and produce material.  He just found out that the book he wrote for Ellie is going to get published and he has two other books in the works.  He inspires me to dream big and to go after the things I want.

Even though he is sick he never stops dreaming and moving forward.  He has so much to give and I truly believe he already has and will continue to make the world a better place with his writing, his thoughts and his actions.  I admire him so much and his passion to dream big is what made me fall head over heels for him 7 years ago.

Is there someone in your life that inspires you to push harder, to believe in yourself and to go for your dreams?  I think it’s important to have at least one person in your life that encourages you to live life to the fullest.  Andrew does that for me. Even on the hard days (and there are quite a few) I think about all that he is going through and how he keeps fighting for life. He motivates me to not give up and to push past my limiting beliefs and whatever else is holding me back from living the life of my dreams.

I would love to hear who that person is in your life and how they inspire you to be more and better!  I am so grateful for the power of love and connection in our lives.  You all have been that for me in your comments, service and prayers.  Thank you so much for supporting my family with your sincere love. Blessings sweet friends!

Rene is that person for me! She is an awesome friend, and like a sister to me! Even though her and her family is going through hard times, she is still there for me. Her love for God and the people in her life never changes! I thank God for her daily! She comes from a great family!
